ROLES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES
What to Expect From PAETEC:
1.
Upon completion of the paperwork PAETEC will ensure
that your T-1 arrives in approximately 60 business days,
pending any provider facility issues.
2.
PAETEC will notify you approximately 2 weeks prior to
the facility being dropped off at your site by the incumbent
ILEC.
3.
PAETEC will notify you of a Firm Order Commitment (FOC)
date, when the T-1 provider confirms delivery. Please note:
The FOC date is not always a guaranteed date but a target
date for delivery. We have experienced T-1’s dropped off
early and/or late. We will keep you informed of any changes
to the best of our ability.
4.
Once PAETEC has tested the T-1, then the process of
coordinating the installation with you and your vendor (s)
will begin.
CUSTOMER
RESPONSIBILITIES
Please make sure that all
equipment has been ordered and is ready to be installed
by the Firm Order Completion date. Once the T-1 is
accepted, any delays in installation after 14 calendar days,
PAETEC will begin billing the Monthly Recurring Charges.
Once the T-1 has been cutover, it is
your responsibility to contact your former provider and
disconnect any applicable services that you deem
unnecessary. Other telephone companies will not allow PAETEC
to disconnect lines on your behalf. Your Service Engineer
can assist you in determining which lines you should
disconnect.
If you are moving into a new space
and need to order analog lines, be sure to request that they
are extended into your suite and request PAETEC’s PIC Code
of 6340. You must also alert your PAETEC Service engineer as
to what those numbers are, so they can be entered into our
system for long distance services or ring to for Direct
Trunk Overflow.
